Rewind! Where Have I Lived Since Moving to Orem UT?

Hear me out... There's a bit of my adult life that I haven't shared yet! And a lot of my life that is fun to catch up on! So what if every once in a while I did a "rewind" or "recap" of something from my life? Sounds fun to me!

Soooooooo...... Let's Rewind!

So far I have only lived in 2 apartments! Makes sense since I've only been out here for 2.5 years. When I first moved out I moved into Axis Luxury Living. When I was looking for places to live out here I saw Axis and fell in love. It was expensive (like $740/month), but I had enough saved I could afford it. I was so excited to move out. I spent the entire year leading up to it buying, organizing, and planning. I measured the car I don't know how many times, measured all my boxes, and taped out the floor to plan how everything would fit in the car. I knew which boxes were going where and made sure my toolbox and cleaning supplies were near the trunk so we could get those out first. I walked through the 3D model of the apartment so many times, I put on Evan and Trevor's 3D headset to walk around it too.

A few days before I moved out, I dropped a mental gate (one of those ones that go in front of the fireplace to keep kids from hurting themselves) on my toe! I went to urgent care twice in the 3 days before I left. Once to see if I broke my big toe and another to have them burn a hole through the nail to drain some of the blood that built up. I was basically useless when moving out and moving in. I did make sure that the car got packed exactly to my plans. My mom doubted me, she said that I might have to leave some of my blankets at home. That wasn't going to happen. And I did get everything in the car without having to leave anything at home.

I felt like an awkward nugget living at Axis. The ward was a little clicky, it was also my first time making friends since COVID-19 and basically since I left high school.

Moving in I sat on the floor while my mom and dad carted my things into my apartment and I unpacked. Unfortunately, I don't have any videos of my room put together, but I do have pictures.

When I moved out I got a storage unit for over the summer while I was away as an FSY counselor and wouldn't be able to move out. Again lots of planning and organizing to put everything I put into the unit. I visited many times to get things out over the summer.

I moved literally across the parking lot to Promenade Place. Natalie Fife lived there and we wanted to be roommates, so I moved in with the new lease! My room was definitely smaller and I shared a bathroom with Natalie, but it was worth it, plus the rent was cheaper. I am still in the same apartment but switched to Natalie's slightly bigger room when she moved out.

I felt more at home living at Promenade. Maybe because Natalie already lived here but it was easier for me to make friends and I have made so many friends since living here. I was more social, the first year I was invited to a lot of game nights, hot rubbing, hangouts, hikes, and adventures.

Kaylie helped me move in. And one of my FSY CO's girlfriends... they broke up like a week after this picture. Never saw her again. But she was so sweet to help me move.

Here is my room from this angle. Apparently, this is the only picture I have of this room...

When I moved rooms I changed the layout, and then I changed it again. The first layout:

The panorama is the only whole room picture I have.

One thing I am going to miss from this apartment is the view! I love the sunset! I don't think I will ever get a view like this again. I can see the lake, the mountains, the sunsets.

The second layout of my room I don't have any pictures of while I am currently writing this, so I guess this is my motivation to go clean my room and take some pictures. Also, clean my living room and kitchen cause I have no pictures of it clean and I don't have any pictures of Axis.

In my second year at Promenade I grew closer to the friends that I made my first year, learned I LOVE hosting and have had many parties here. I did a Harry Potter movie marathon in September and October, my birthday party in November, Christmas movie nights, a Galentines party in February, and recently started doing girls' nights.

... Like an hour later...

Okay! I did it! I cleaned my apartment! Here she is:

My favorite part of my room is the calendar. I love updating the months and seeing them go by. It's been a pretty empty calendar since January... No school and no work makes for a very empty calendar.

The bathroom: featuring a cleaning fit!

The living room is where I spend most of my time right now. all the blankets and decorations/art are mine that I have painted. I swear I let my roommates put stuff in there they just haven't so it's fully decorated by me.

Nat and I (not to be confused with Natalie Fife. This is Natalie Morgan who I refer to friends and family as Nat), are planning on moving into an apartment together! I am so excited! Hopefully, we are able to get an apartment there. Its near the Provo City Center Temple. It's cute and as you've read above I am a planner and have picked out furniture, colors, and decor. Can you blame me, I don't have anything else I am doing with my days.
